Descartes

Alright, this is my first post, but I'm going to delve right in.
First of all, Descartes.
Is he right?

As anyone familiar to basic philosophy should know (or, in my opinion, anyone with a passing acquaintance with the English language), Descartes is pretty damn famous for saying "I think, therefore I am." I agree-- the concept of thought justifies itself. But, is he thinking? The illusion of thought must still be identified by thought, but is there a flaw in the reasoning that I am programmed not to see? If so, can I even prove I'm thinking?

And can whoever may be programming me read this?

If so, I'm onto you.
Or at least I think I am.
